Two relieved families were reunited with lost pets this week.
Skyler the golden retriever, who bolted during fireworks on New Year’s Eve was located yesterday morning in the area of Thorburn Road much to the relief of the Higdon family of Kenmount Terrace.

Meanwhile, Duke the setter, who had been missing for days, was also located yesterday. Sara Pelley-Ivany a member of Duke’s search party and a friend of the dog’s worried owners, says Duke decided to take a stroll after being let out to do his business, and never returned.
Pelley-Ivany says a medium was even brought in to help, but that’s not what led them to find the dog.
“He just decided to show up on (owner) Shelley’s doorstep.”
