A benefit concert to help the family of a man who has helped build a cultural focal point in Winterton, Trinity Bay, sold out so quickly that a second show has been added.
Alan Doyle is hosting the shows at Trinity Hall in Winterton, re-developed by award-winning Canadian musician and producer Greg Wells.
Wells’ roots are in Trinity Bay but he lives and works in Los Angeles Country, which has been devastated by wildfires.

The first “Evening with Alan Doyle, live at Trinity Hall,” is set for Friday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m., with 2023 MusicNL Folk Artist of the Year Darcy Scott, as well as up-and-coming country music singer Amanda Stone, both of Scilly Cove Records, joining Doyle on stage.
The second show is scheduled for the next day, at the same time, with special guests Courtney Wicks and Rachel Cousins.
All proceeds will go toward “keeping the lights on and the music flowing at Trinity Hall and Scilly Cove Records.”
