The passenger of an ATV that crashed near Michael’s Harbour Monday afternoon was taken to a hospital in Gander for treatment of serious injuries.
Lewisporte RCMP says the female was one of two people on the machine that flipped onto its side while making a turn onto the Michael’s Harbour Access Road.
Police say neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seatbelts or helmets at the time.
The ATV was not insured.
The police investigation continues, and charges are pending.
