Burin Peninsula Energy Board says its open to any all issues and concerns surrounding wind-powered hydrogen development proposed for the Burin Peninsula.
Marystown Mayor Brian Keating is on the local energy board, and says he’s heard from a variety of positions, all of whom are raising valid questions and concerns.
Keating told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that what he wants to make clear is that the board only serves in an advisory position, it cannot make decisions.
He says the board is made up of a number of municipal representatives from all over the Burin Peninsula and they welcome membership from any municipality or local service district. “We’re welcoming new members all the time” says Keating, “the more factual information we get, the better, of course.”
