The capital city’s Animal Care and Adoption Centre on Higgins Line is closed this weekend as city staff navigate a recent incident at the shelter.
Two city workers were taken to hospital with injuries after reportedly being attacked by a dog.
No members of the public were involved.
The city of St. John’s cannot offer further comment on the situation out of respect for the privacy of its staff, but says the situation is being managed and “handled appropriately.”
