RNC had a hunch that a man was up to no good after he was caught untying a boat from the wharf in St. John’s Harbour.
Officers on patrol caught the man in the act around 2:00 this morning. He then darted into a restricted area to get away, but was unsuccessful in his attempt to flee.
The 44-year-old was taken into custody on charges of trespassing, mischief, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, and breach of court orders.
He was held for court.
