An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged after a bizarre incident in Portugal Cove-St. Philips last week.

Police were called to a reported home invasion in the wee hours last Wednesday.

Officers located a suspect at the scene and charged him with assault with a weapon, and home invasion. He was held in custody pending a court appearance.
