A 28-year-old man is facing charges after he assaulted a woman, leaving significant injuries.
Police got the call late Friday morning, asking to do a wellness check on a centre-city woman.
It’s believed the male had assaulted the woman and left the scene, leaving serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police caught up with the man a short time later.
He was arrested and held in court to face an assault charge.
