31-Year-Old Woman Faces Charges After Assaulting Corrections Officer

A corrections officer has been released from hospital following an assault in the lockup last evening.

Police say a 31-year-old woman attacked the corrections officer just after 9:00 last evening in St. John’s.

The woman is now facing more charges, including assaulting a peace officer and breaching a release order.
