A local brewer is starting to see some changes in consumer habits as Canadians turn toward a greater focus on supporting local business and products – but the full impact won’t be known for some time yet.
Justin Fong of Quidi Vidi Brewery says the tariff talk from the United States only started heating up in the last week or two, so it’s too early to say what impact, if any, it will have on their business.
He says they saw a spike in online sales when NLC stopped stocking American products, but now that those products are back on the shelves – for now – it’s hard to say what long-term impact they might see.
