Municipal enforcement officers in Mount Pearl are working with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary to safely remove a dog from a home on Whitley Drive after an attack that left one person injured.
The city says officers were called to assist police Monday morning. The injured resident, along with others in the home, was able to leave safely and is receiving treatment in hospital. Officials say there is no risk to the public.
Efforts to remove the animal have been unsuccessful so far because of its aggressive behaviour. Municipal enforcement officers say they are working with police on a plan to safely resolve the situation.
