RCMP, warrant in hand, searched a home in Port au Port West yesterday as part of their ongoing investigation into an unusual incident that left a snowmobiler seriously injured.

Police say a number of items were seized from a home on Front Road.

The search was conducted after a man fell from his snowmachine while riding in the area of Gravel’s Pond in Port au Port Friday afternoon.

Police later determined that the injuries suffered were not consistent with a fall from a snowmobile, and an investigation is underway into how the man got injured.

Anyone with information, or potential surveillance images, is asked to contact the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit.
