Legendary actor Gene Hackman and his wife have been found dead at their home in New Mexico.
Police were called for a wellness check at the couple’s Santa Fe home yesterday afternoon where Hackman, wife Betsy Arakawa and family dog were found dead.
Authorities have not provided any further details on the circumstances surrounding their deaths, but do not believe foul play is involved.
Hackman began his acting career in the 1950s, but did not get his big breakout until he got the role of Buck Barrow in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, for which he earned an Oscar nomination.
He went on to appear in several award-winning films over the span of four decades, including The French Connection, Unforgiven, and Mississippi Burning.
Hackman was 95.
