The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is applauding the provincial government for extending its tax reduction on oil and gas for another year.
The rate, which was cut in half to 8.05 cents in 2022 will be extended for another year.
CTF Atlantic Director Devin Drover says the provincial government deserves credit for extending the gas tax cut.
However the federation says it would like the tax cut to be made permanent.
