A Newfoundlander punched his golden ticket to Hollywood on American Idol last night.
Twenty-four-year-old Will Carter of St. John’s appeared on the show last night, performing his original song ‘Dreams’ for judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
Carter told the judges he wrote the song in memory of his mom, who passed away from breast cancer.
His performance earned a ‘yes’ from the trio of celebrity judges.
“How long is the flight?” asked Bryan, to which Carter responded “too long.”
Carter will appear on tonight’s episode which airs at 9:30 NST on ABC.
