The fate of the riding of Terra Nova-The Peninsulas will come down to a recount today in Marystown.
Currently, Liberal Anthony Germain holds a small lead over Conservative Jonathan Rowe—just 12 votes, or 0.1 per cent, triggering an automatic recount.
The recount comes after the Terrebonne riding in Quebec flipped from the Bloc Quebecois to the Liberals by a margin of just one vote.
Rowe held the lead for the majority of election night, but Germain gained ground in the late-going.
The recount will take place at St. Gabriel’s Hall starting this morning. Elections Canada says the process will take a few days.
The Liberals are just two seats shy of a majority government with 170.
