Net earnings at the Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation are up for the fiscal year ended a few weeks ago and so, too, is the dividend paid to government.
Net earnings were $211-million in the fiscal year ended April 5, an increase of $3-milllion from the year before. The dividend paid to government for the entire year totaled $214-million, an increase of $11.5-million over the previous year.
Again this year, the corporation had record sales and earnings. Alcohol and cannabis sales were up to $376-million, up from $364-million. Ready-to-drink beverages and cannabis saw the largest increases over the prior year.
Beverage alcohol sales overall were up 1.1 per cent in fiscal year 2025 over 2024 with an increase in most products categories.
