The Pharmacists’ Association says there are several new vaccines available at community pharmacies, at no charge to the public.
The first is the shingles vaccine, which is being rolled out as part of a provincial program for those aged 65 and older. That will be expanded to those over the age of 50 come September.
Other vaccines now available include MMR (measles), mumps and rubella, T-Dap (tetanus), diphtheria, and pertussis, and pneumonia.
People are being asked to contact their local pharmacy to make an appointment.
