The Victoria Volunteer Fire Department is back up to full complement after a meeting on Friday with Municipal Affairs Minister Paul Pike and Mayor Barry Dooley.
Twenty of the fire department’s 24 members withdrew their services last week citing a number of grievances with the town.
Fire Chief Justin Parsons took to Facebook on Friday indicating that the meeting went well and that members have been assured that matters raised will be addressed.
In the meantime, full fire services have been restored
Parsons says the fire department and town council will work with the minister to resolve any outstanding concerns. He offered his thanks to the residents of Victoria for their support.
