One young person has suffered life-threatening injuries, and two others were also injured, following an ATV crash in Hopedale on Monday.
RCMP were first called to the wharf on American Road around 6:30 p.m.
They say the three young people, all of whom are under the age of 16, were not being supervised and were not wearing helmets.
The ATV lost control while rounding a turn, throwing all three from the vehicle.
According to police, driver of the machine, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was airlifted out of the community for urgent medical care. The others were also airlifted out of the community for treatment, but for injuries which are not life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
