A 55-year-old man has been arrested and a quantity of drugs and cash seized following a recent search of a home in Sunnyside, Trinity Bay.
The home, which is on Mercer Street, was searched on Thursday, resulting in the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, crack cocaine, illicit prescription pills, cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Donald Strowbridge was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine. He’s scheduled to appear in court in September.
RCMP warn that cocaine is the leading cause of overdose deaths in Newfoundland and Labrador and Naloxone is ineffective. They urge anyone who suspects someone is overdosing on cocaine to seek medical attention immediately.
