The Newfoundland Regiment hockey club has announced the details of their training camp, including their roster which has eight Newfoundlanders on it.
Training camp began yesterday in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
The first half of their training camp is being held in that province due to limited access to facilities in the St. John’s area due to the Canada Games.
The camp includes five pre-season games out of province. They will fly back to Newfoundland after the Labour Day long weekend to finish the camp ahead of opening night at Mary Browns Centre on September 18th.
The Newfoundlanders on the team are Ewan Cleary and Quinn Norman of CBS, Gavin Connors of Pouch Cove, William Grant of Torbay, Max Sheppard of Mount Pearl, Owen Dyke of Spaniard’s Bay, and Ty Peddigrew and Ben Veitch of St. John’s.
