A brand new addictions treatment centre will have its grand opening in St. John’s this morning.

The Vida Nova Recovery Centre is located at South West Pond on Salmonier Line.

It is being touted as a “state-of-the-art facility” that will close the gap on wait times by providing timely, evidence-based and holistic care.

The centre offers a six week program for those in need. The facility includes 16 inpatient beds and two detox beds, and will be supported by physicians, nurses, social workers, addictions support workers, and in-house staff.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is taking place for the facility at 10 a.m.
