The provincial government has yet to receive any bids from a request for proposals for the Marble Mountain Ski Resort.
Efforts to divest itself of the ski resort date back to 2018. At the time, only three proposals were received.
In 2022, the province expanded the RFP to make the facility more attractive to a larger number of potential investors.
The aim was to make the resort a year-round operation.
Another RFP was issued early this year – there were no takers. Despite that, the province remains optimistic about the property’s potential for the right proponent.
The Department of Tourism says it will respond to inquires on the Marble Mountain Ski Resort as they arise.
In the meantime, an RFP for the former Trinity Loop Amusement Park has resulted in one proposal to develop the site. The RFP remains open.
