An RNC officer jumped into action after a woman found herself stranded on the rocks at Middle Cove Beach last evening.
Police were first on the scene after a 911 call came in about a woman on the rocks who was getting splashed by the waves and did not appear to be moving.
The officer made his way down the steep cliffside to reach the woman. He then removed his uniform to keep her warm while they waited for crews to conduct a high angle rescue.
The two were successfully lifted to safety. There were no serious injuries.
