RCMP say an ongoing investigation is preventing them from providing details at this time on a police operation in Portland Creek on the Northern Peninsula this morning.

Police, armed with a search warrant, descended on the community.

The warrant was issued as part of what police call an active investigation, and they say there is no current risk to public safety.
