A 51-year-old who tried to hide out in the bushes after stealing from the Avalon Mall yesterday has been arrested.

The incident happened at around 8:30 yesterday evening, when police say they spotted the man sprinting across the parking garage, trying to flee from officers.

RNC say the man was later found in the bushes, and after a brief struggle, he was taken into custody.

He’s has been charged with theft, resisting arrest and breach of probation.

The accused was held for court.
