The founder of an iconic Newfoundland and Labrador brand has passed away.
Reuben Warren founded Warren’s Pickled Wieners. Warren passed away on Saturday on what was his 88th birthday.
He started his pickled products enterprise at the age of 18, and formally established Warren’s Pickled Products in 1955.

Warren’s daughter, Paula Hanlon, says her father was very proud of the business he had built.
She says everywhere he went he would see someone he knew or someone would ask him about how he came up with the idea. She says he spent a long time coming up with the product and getting the right recipe.
