Paul Lane will be the next Speaker of the House of Assembly.
His was the only name submitted for election to the position, which will happen Monday. It will be the first order of business after the legislature opens in the afternoon.
Lane, an independent, won re-election October 14th in Mount Pearl-Southlands.
