A number of important issues are on the agenda as the Registered Nurses Union hosts nursing union leaders from across the region for Atlantic Caucus meetings.
Nurse-patient ratios, collective bargaining, and the use of private agency nurses are all up for discussion.
RNU President Yvette Coffey says the caucus meetings will allow them a chance to share lessons learned and develop a strategy ahead of collective bargaining.
The RNU’s current collective agreement is set to expire on June 30th.
Leaders are also preparing for the Eastern Labour School, a biennial event to help educate union volunteers from all four Atlantic provinces.
