Four people have been arrested and charged as the result of an ongoing firearms-related investigation in the St. Anthony area.
RCMP searched a home in Raleigh last Tuesday and seized a number of firearms and ammunition.
Police also uncovered additional evidence in relation to a string of recent break and enters near Raleigh. Items reported stolen from several travel trailers were identified by investigators.
A 27-year-old man and 32-year-old woman from Raleigh are facing numerous charges including:
- Break and enter with intent – 4 counts
- Mischief under $5,000 – 4 counts
- Theft Under $5,000 – 2 counts
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Disguise with intent
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm – 4 counts
- Possessing a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized – 4 counts
- Careless storage of ammunition – 3 counts
The woman is facing an addition charge of assault and uttering threats.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man from St. Lunaire-Griquet is facing four counts each of break and enter with intent, damage to property, and two counts of theft under $5,000 as well as possession of stolen property.
A 41-year-old woman from St. Lunaire-Griquet is facing a single charge of possession of stolen property.
Those charged have been released to appear at a later date.
