The NL Chapter of the Canadian Federation of Students says there are a number of priorities for them as we head in to 2026.

Chairperson Nicolas Keough says they will be holding the provincial government’s feet to the fire in terms of promises made during the election campaign and they will be watching the fallout from the budget later in the spring.

Outside of working with government, Keough says the federation will be looking at ways to engage students at various campuses across the province.

He says they will be doing outreach in various areas of the province, and offering more skills training for student leaders.
