A man known to RCMP and who is banned from driving anywhere in Canada, was arrested Tuesday morning for failing to stop for police in central Newfoundland.
RCMP pulled a vehicle over on Earle Street in Grand Falls-Windsor just after 11:00 Tuesday morning.
Police advised Corey Daniel Killam that he was under arrest, but instead of getting out of the vehicle, he pulled away, nearly striking an officer.
RCMP say the 34-year-old was located at a nearby home and was arrested. The vehicle was seized and impounded.
Killam was held to appear in court on charges of driving while prohibited, flight from police and failing to comply with a release order.
