The Port aux Basques town council has received approval to reopen parts of the Bruce II arena, damaged by high winds Monday night.
A portion of the roof lifted off in gusts as high as 140 km/h.
That left parts of the building open to the elements.
The town council says the bowling alley, pool, curling rink and fitness centre will open today, but the ice rink will remain closed.
The wall at the end of the rink was also damaged and a structural engineer has to have a look to ensure it is not a hazard.
The town council says it will provide further updates as they become available.
