U.S. President Donald Trump is warning Iran that “time is running out” as the possibility an American military strike on Iran looks more likely.

Trump posted to his Truth Social platform that a U.S. fleet, headed by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, was heading towards Iran, “with great power, enthusiasm and purpose.”

Trump, who had previously expressed support for the Iranian people who have been protesting against the current regime, and denounced Iran’s brutal crackdown on demonstrations.

However, his latest posts appear to be focused on the country’s nuclear program, using an all-caps demand; “NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS.”

Trump says U.S. forces were “ready, willing and able to rapidly fulfil its mission with speed and violence, if necessary.”
