The town of Badger is facing a lot of uncertainty as dangerously high water levels continue to impact the community.
Last night, several areas of the town were placed under an evacuation order.
Mayor Dennis Butt says water levels did recede slightly overnight, which is a positive step.
That said, the situation is difficult to predict, and Butt is waiting on the province’s next assessment to see how things are shaping up.
As for residents who have not yet been asked to evacuate, he says residents should prepare the same as they did for wildfires last summer.
He says to make sure they have a bag packed with medications and important documents such as IDs at the ready.
