A 63-year-old man is facing charges following a recent drug bust in Stephenville Crossing.
Dennis Critchley has been slapped with three counts of drug trafficking, and firearms offences.
Items seized included a large quantity of prescription pills including opioids, a loaded firearm, cigarettes and a large sum of money.
Charges against Critchley include:
- Trafficking (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) – 3 counts
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) – 3 counts
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (Criminal Code)
- Possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized (Criminal Code)
- Careless use or storage of a firearm (Criminal Code) – 3 counts
Critchley was remanded to custody and is scheduled to appear in court today.
RCMP say additional charges are possible.
