The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce is joining with its counterparts in Quebec to urge the NL and Quebec governments to move forward with expansion of the Upper Churchill.
The PC government put the MOU on hold while a panel conducted a review of the deal to ensure it is in the best interest of Newfoundland and Labrador.
That report was delivered to government on Thursday and the premier has promised to release its findings to the public.

The chambers have written an open letter asking that work on the project move forward.
President and CEO of the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, Rhonda Tulk Lane says major projects need scrutiny, but prolonged uncertainty carries its own risks.
“We also need a clear path forward on what’s next so investors can make decisions, so businesses can plan. So…it’s a balancing act of digging in, scrutinizing it, and not having uncertainty” and delays that go on too long.
