Police are investigating what they’re calling a “serious” rollover at the intersection of Mayor Avenue and Newtown Road.
The accident occurred around 1:30 this morning, and the road is closed for an “extended period of time” some time while officers investigated.

As a result of a serious single vehicle collision, Mayor Ave between Newtown Rd and Empire Ave will be remaining closed for an extended period of time.
NL Power is also on scene dealing with a power pole down.

The RNC accident investigation and forensic units were on-site.
There is no immediate word on any injuries.
