Cyle Larin had just come into the game, being on the field for 119 seconds when he booted the ball from 79 feet out to give Canada a 1-1 tie with Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Cup in Toronto.
Bosnia opened the scoring early on a corner kick, but Canada came around, especially in the second half, nearly tying it well before Larin’s goal, by hitting the crossbar.
The host controlled the play for much of the second half before Larin gave them their first-ever point in the World Cup.
Their next two matches – against Switzerland and Qatar – will be in Vancouver.
