The west end of St. John’s is without a public library, but the loss is temporary.

The Michael Donovan Library on Topsail Road closed to the public on the weekend as it has to be out of the Waterford Valley Mall by the end of the month.

Emma Craig, the regional librarian, says tenders are being called for a new location. She assures that the facility will remain in the west end when it reopens.

She says they have to go through the procurement process and put the library location to tender.  She admits, that may take some time, but they’re focused on reopening in the west end.
