The local social justice community is mourning the loss of a pivotal and dedicated member.
Dana Warren, a respected local social worker and counsellor passed away following a battle with breast cancer. She was 58.
Friend Sheilagh O’Leary told VOCM Open Line with Brian Callahan that Warren was an important member of the local cultural community and the social justice movement.
O’Leary says she and Dana were like sisters, and they “grew in the social justice movement together.” Among her fondest memories is the organization of the Peace Accord in Bannerman Park.
