Temperatures in the mid-to-high 20s are in the offing for eastern and central Newfoundland for the next couple of days.
Environment Canada meteorologist David Neil says an area of high pressure to the south is going to make for some hot and sunny days for parts of the province over the next few days.
He says temperatures will be in the mid to high 20s, particularly in central. He says while humidex values won’t be significant, they could push the higher temperatures near the 30 degree mark.
As Neil explains, however, not all areas of the island will see the really warm temperatures.
He says on the south and west coasts, where the south-west wind will be more on shore, temperatures will be a “touch cooler.”
Neil says most of Labrador will stay on the cooler side except for central Labrador, where temperatures will be in the mid-to-high 20s are expected for the next few days before cooling off again.
