The RCMP say they nabbed a driver flying down the highway at nearly 70 km/h over the speed limit near Clarenville over the weekend.

The vehicle was clocked at 168 km/h just before 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver’s vehicle was seized and license suspended, and they were ticketed for excessive speeding.

The driver was pulled over as part of an enforcement blitz in the area, during which 16 tickets were issued in total for speeding.
