First Light will release a report today detailing what they say are the legal rights of Indigenous peoples who have been incarcerated in the province.
The new report is a follow-up to one released in March, which found that there is limited access to Indigenous cultural programming, low awareness and use of Gladue Reports, and a high rate of housing insecurity among inmates nearing release.
The report will be released this afternoon at 2 p.m.
