Singer-songwriter Bonnie Tyler has died.
Born in South Wales, she broke through internationally with ‘It’s a Heartache’ in 1977, before becoming one of the biggest stars of the ’80s with ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ and ‘Holding Out for a Hero’.
Tyler, who had been battling an illness for the last while, passed away in hospital in Portugal last night.
Over a career that spanned nearly five decades, she released 18 studio albums, earned Grammy nominations, represented the UK at Eurovision, and remained a popular touring artist.
Bonnie Tyler was 75.
