A 47-year-old man from Marystown has been charged with ten counts of failing to comply with conditions set by the court after reports of suspicious activity outside a local store on the weekend.
RCMP were called to Mall Street in Marystown around 6:00 Saturday evening, and found Joseph Strickland, who was wanted on a number of outstanding charges for failing to comply with court orders.
Strickland was found to be in possession of illegal tobacco, drug paraphernalia and unidentified pills.
He was arrested and held to appear in court on Monday.
He’s now facing four additional counts of failure to comply with a probation order, six counts of failure to comply with a release order, and possession of unstamped tobacco.
Lab tests are underway on the pills and further charges are possible.
