Lost-time injury rates in the province stayed at an all-time low in 2025, while new injury claims also reached a record low at just over 3,800 cases.

That’s according to WorkplaceNL which has just released its Annual Performance Report for 2025.

The average assessment rate paid by employers remained stable at $1.73 per $100 payroll in 2025, and the discounted rate – introduced in 2019 – will be maintained this year.
