The investigation continues into the cause of a fire that destroyed a house on Kenmount Road last Wednesday.

The fire, which had the potential to spread to nearby businesses and surrounding woods caused some anxious moments, but the St. John’s Regional Fire Department managed to knock it down despite a number of challenges.

The fire claimed the lives of two pets; a dog and a chameleon.

The RNC say fire investigators are continuing their probe.
