It’s another day of smoke-filled air in Toronto and southern Ontario as winds blow in from wildfires in the north.
Thunder Bay to Kingston and down to Toronto, London and Windsor all have air quality warnings in place, as the heat warnings are being lifted.
Meteorologist David Neil of the Gander Weather Office does not expect the smoke to be noticeable in these parts.
“A big low pressure system over Labrador is going to hang around for a bit and the wind patterns aren’t causing any problems for us, at least not for the next while,” says Neil.
Over 850 wildfires are being reported across Canada with many still out of control.
